Motorcycle theft risk in urban boarding-house environments is shaped by parking arrangements, lighting, access routes, and informal guardianship. This community service activity provided context-based prevention education to managers and residents at three boarding-house locations in Makassar City. The activity was conducted during May 2026 and involved 3 boardinghouse owners/managers and 15 residents (18 participants in total). The method combined initial environmental observation, preparation of a Crime Pattern Theory-based leaflet, direct distribution accompanied by brief explanation, and descriptive comparison of resident behavior before and after the education activity. Evaluation focused on two observable indicators: caution toward motorcycles and choice of parking location. Before education, vehicle placement more often followed space availability and did not consistently prioritize visibility or ease of supervision. After education, residents were observed to be more careful with their motorcycles and to choose parking areas considered safer and easier to supervise. The activity produced a context-specific educational leaflet and practical prevention recommendations concerning visibility, parking, additional locks, access points, and collective vigilance. The behavioral change is reported as a qualitative observation within the activity period and does not represent a measure of long-term crime reduction.
